Yesterday I got my first birthday gift! Be Delicious by DKNY. It smells awesome! I tried to take picture of the bottle, which by the way looks like a little apple! So I but I blog tracker on here so I could see who's reading my blog. Some of these places I just don't know who it is?? I know Kansas is family, Texas is the lifesavers, Pa is Jason's mom, whoever is in NY is also Jason's family. NC is Deanna. I'm pretty sure FL is Selena, TN is of course Ms. Tyne. I think OKC is someone who swears not to like me, so I wonder why she reads my blog....IL/Mo is of course Tara-mesue:) Germany is Sarah.

I took a nap

It was like a blessing and a curse. I was so tired on Sunday afternoon I could hardly keep my eyes open, so I napped. Since I did, the laundry didn't get done, the Sunday house cleaning didn't get done. I of course feel guilty about this. I feel like my house is a pit. I have not done a very good job of teaching my children to clean. It's my fault. I'm a freak. I'd rather do it myself and have it done my way, then be patient and let them do it. So they haven't done it, and now when I try to get them to, they do a sucky job at it. So I try to do it all myself. I felt like a loser last week,. I only worked 50 hours but still couldn't get my sh*t together. I'm sinking, I'm tired of everything and everyone. I want a break. Amanda has court tomorrow. I pray she gets her kids back. I love them, I truly do. My "good deed" is over running my life though. It's keeping Misty from moving on to bigger and better things for her and her girls, b/c she's home caring for A and C. No one in this house can move forward until they go back to their mom. I'm not going to be able to quit my job anytime soon. Jason isn't happy at work again. We all know what happened last time he wasn't happy. I don't want a replay. We are working on a plan for him to go back to school. He almost has an AA, so he'd only to need to go back for 2ish years. He wants to coach football. He's thinking of getting a physical ed teaching degree and going from there. I just want him to be happy. I'm so sick of him being unhappy. I don't understand how people are not happy and are not thankful. I go through my spurts of "unhappy" (like right now!), but they are short lived. I don't stay in a funk for more than a few hours. It's not me. I don't know how I got like this. Everyone get funky and stay funky for days, weeks, and sometimes even months. Not me. I'm a freak(again!) . I'm a positive person that always see the upside and doesn't dwell on the crappy. I have a very hard time understanding those who dwell on the crappy and don't try to change, or at least live with it and make the best of it. Lead or get out of the way. That's my motto. No one is going to change your life but you. So start living, or start dying, but either way stop your complaining!

I'm the luckiest girl in the world

Today while getting out of the shower I realized I'm the luckiest girl in the world. What makes me so lucky you ask? Wealth? Health? Diamonds? Pearls? Nope.

I can be nekked(that's naked to non-Hallock/Duke's) anywhere in my house. I don't have to worry about the wrong people seeing me. Or double check that my booti-ous maximous isn't hanging out of my towel. If a child leaves the bathroom door open while I shower and I don't realize, OH WELL! I don't have to take all my clothes into the bathroom with me and get dressed in there. It's great. What is my secret you ask? Well let me tell you ....

I'm related to everyone I live with! Woo-hoo! It doesn't matter if any of the them see me nekked. I'm married to Jason, Misty is my sister, I gave birth to Jonathan and Savannah. Elize, Ashyra, Anthony, and Carolyn could care less. Misty and Jason do not have this freedom, they must always be aware of their surroundings. Not me!

Now don't get me wrong. I do not walk around the house nekked. This glorious freedom only comes into play on days(like today) when we were all getting ready at one time. I was in the shower, Misty was doing her hair and Jason was in the bedroom. I was able to get out of the shower, dry off, go to my bedroom, put on my "unmentionables" and walk back through the bathroom and into my closet to pick out clothes with out having to worry about who saw me.

And that my friends is why I'm so stinkin' lucky!

TGIF

I'm so ready for Friday, for the weekend. I wish I had more of a weekend. I don't think I ever will. I'd have to make $17 an hour 40 hours a week, to make what I make now. I don't see that happening. All week I've had allergy issues. My eyes hurt like crazy, my nose is red and raw. It's not pretty. I have so much to do. Tomorrow is of course work, then I'm going to Jonathan's school to watch him give a presentation on the timeline of his life. On Saturday we have a game(with pictures at 8!), Savannah was invited to watch her "boyfriend"(MOM! He's not my boyfriend!) in a fashion show at Dillard's, then off to Starbucks to have a secret santa meeting with the lifesavers. After that Jason leaves to go help with the haunted house, and I will work on Oli's book some more. Sunday is church, then sunday school(I teach this week), more scrappin while house cleaning, then Awannas. Notice there's no sleep scheduled in there? Ya, that's my life.

Jason and I found the place we are going for our anniversary! It's a cabin in the woods, located in Glen Rose Texas. Get this, it's called The Linderhoff. Yup, just like the castle in Germany. We are both getting off at 3 on the 13th to hit the road. We should be back Sunday evening. It's going to be great. We have never been away from the kids for more than a few hours. It's going to be scary in that aspect. We deserve it though. We sailed through the first 8 years of our marriage. the last 2 years have been tough though. Not bad tough, just trying tough. I feel like we've been in a marriage test. In 2005 I couldn't wait for '06. 2006, wasn't much better. I pray that 2007 be our best year yet.

Feeling Accomplished

I have every single piece of laundry done! The last load is in the dryer. Oh what a sweet feeling. I also scrapbooked this weekend. I did 7 pages in Oli's book. He came over today after to church to look at it, and loved it. That made me feel great. Did anyone see the HL ad? Almost everything SB is 50% off! Paper, stamps, stickers, rub-ons, it's insane. I'm going to have to hold myself back. BG for 50% off...I'm not going to think about that now.

Lookie What I Got!

One of my customers came in today and was talking about how she had hoped to make more $$ at her yard sale and how she didn't even get rid of her "big" items. I asked what "big" items she had, and she said this:


I asked her how much she wanted for it, and we struck a deal! For the same about as 1 months dues at the Y I can have a treadmill at home! It's not the newest model, but it was cheap and it works! It's in the living room, so hopefully it will get used....

I've started this post 3 times. Everything sounds dumb. Not a lot to say, yet so much to say. Nothing important idle chit-chat for the most part. I have busy month ahead. I'm going to be working on Oli's SB for his wife. Then is the concert, my birthday, and we are going out of town that weekend for our anniversary. Then the girl's huge b-day party. I'm tired just thinking about it. I need a day off. A whole day with nothing to do but clean my house. It's sad when I want to stay home and clean my house. When I LONG to stay home and clean my house. I have not given up on my goal to stay home again.

Busy is my middle name

Wheew! So yesterday at work we had a woman from a fraud ring come in. After many phone calls and faxes between my DM and I, I called the police. Enter, Officer McDreamy.... The woman tried to claim that it wasn't her account, then it was she just opened it yesterday, but she had a statement for over a month's worth of transactions. Basically it's fraud ring, we already had one of them come to our store, that's what sent up the red flag. They have also tried to get loans from other stores in our region. So the officer tried to find something to take her in on, but b/c she hadn't actually gotten the loan yet, so it wasn't actually fraud yet. Apparently attempted fraud isn't a crime. Anyway, this is where it gets interesting...... I asked the officer three times before he left, if he needed any of my info. He said he'd take my business card and that would be enough. ok, fine. Well at about 10 last night he calls me on my cell phone! He was totally flirting with me. It was so weird. Finally I get off the phone with him, and he calls again today! Now I'm getting freaked out. I didn't answer it when he called today. He left a message saying he had a few more questions. LOL! He is handsome, but um, hello, I'm married. I told him that 3 times! It's nice to know I've still got it though:)

Today was the kiddos second game. I took video this time. As soon as I find it on the puter I'll upload it so ya'll can see it. Also, sister got a super cool hip new do today. I'll let her post pics, but she looks awesome! Tonight, I'm scrappin'. I don't care what deeds go undone. It's all about me and some BG paper!

That's how much I will save each month if I cancel Netflix and our YMCA membership. It's a tough choice. Although I'm not sure why. I never go workout or watch movies. I keep thinking, but what if I want to later? Will later ever come? Probably not while we have 6 kids and I work 53 hours a week. So I think I'm going to do it. I want to be a SAHM again by June, if that's going to happen I need to do this now.

That's how many posts I have! I have had 32 hits today. 70% of them new people. So I ask, who reads this? I know the lifesavers do, Tara, and Tyne too. But who else? I know ya'll can't come here 30 times a day! Sometimes I forget who reads, or who knows about my blog. Sometimes I want to post more in depth stuff, or be just plain raunchy. I don't. Great Weekend:)

Although the weekends are never long enough, this one was still great! Friday, Misty took C and A to spend the weekend with their momma. So we only had 3 kids! WOW! Talk about a breeze. Saturday was the kids first game which went awesome(see pics below). Then, I was able to get off work by 3 to hang out with the family. We went to Target where I found this:

It was on sale for only 18.99 that's right all of season 1 for 19 bucks! I'm so stoked. I've never liked a show enough to buy the whole season before. This is a first, a show of true love! I can't wait to watch it(again!). I want season 2 for my b-day. Hint, hint, hint! Then we went to Hobby Lobby cause my 40% off coupon was burning a whole in my pocket~! Guess what I found there?

That's right, today was our first game. It went better than I expected. I was a little concerned, but everyone seemed to do fine. Jonathan's team even lost, and he was ok with it. FYI- Jonathan is a VERY sore loser! The girls cheered their little buns off. They were very timid at first, by the end of the game they were louder. By season's I think they will be blowing us out! I love the Upward philosophy of sports. The kids have a devotional during practice, and the game. It's meant to be fun, but not a the world revolves around the ball(or pom-poms).

My old Bible study group leader called and wants me to make an SB for his wife for their anniversary. How cool is that? They spent a couple weeks in Jerusalem this summer! I'm so going to love scrapping those photos! I will actually get to see where Jesus walked. See it, in pictures, with my own eyes. I can't wait to get my hands on those photos......

Amanda is taking the kids this weekend, YES! It'll be a nice little break:) Let's pray she doesn't mess it up!

This weekend is Jonathan's first flag football game, and Elize and Savannah's first game to cheer at. The scrapbooker in me is SO excited, the mom is me is worried. Can Jonathan run the plays? Will Savannah remember her chants? Only time will tell.....

Update!

Amanda did not receive monitored return of the children. However, she did get supervised visits. I think this is truly the perfect solution. I wasn't ready for them to go back yet, but I didn't really want to think there was not a light at the end of the tunnel either. This way she can come get them on the weekends, take them back to Killeen and ease back into parenthood. It will also give us a break. She has another court date on Oct. 4th, if all goes well with the visits, she will get them back full time then. Thank you all for you thoughts, and prayers. You guys rock!!

I want to ask for your prayers and thoughts today. Amanda(Carolyn and Anthony's mother) goes back to court today. She could win back custody of her children. This has been our ultimate goal of course. It is a bittersweet moment though. We have put a lot of work into getting them back on track develpmentaly. I am concerned that Amanda will not maintain this. Please pray for her, for the judge making the decision, and the situation as a whole.

Strange Isn't It?

I've known about Dad for a few days, but I haven't spoken to him. Today I decide to post, and he calls. That's so weird. He infers he isn't drinking. I didn't press the issue, and he didn't come out and actually say, I have not drank. I geuss all I can do is take his word for it and trust him.

My Broken Heart....

I did this page in honor of my dad, who at the time had been sober for over 2 years. This was meant to be the right side of a 2 page LO. The second page was going to be the words to the song that is playing right now. I love this song. It reminds me of both my parents, and it reminds me of the reasons that I don't drink very often, and I never drink in front of my children. Anyway, I don't know first hand, but it looks like my dad is no longer on the wagon. It makes me sad, angry, disappointed, mostly though I'm just tired. Tired of him not acting his age, tired of him not being a "real" dad, tired of him thinking he's 20 instead of 50. I don't understand it at all. I will agree it's a sickness, but I believe it's a sickness started by weakness. To weak to deal what's going on in their lives. I have had some pretty crappy couple of years, never have I thought " A drink will be make me feel better" or " A drink will make all of this go away". Never ever did that cross my mind. Maybe it's b/c I have lived through this with my parents, maybe it's b/c it's just not me. Either way, it brings me to my favorite part of the song:

So geuss what I did with my "special" money Jason gave me? You got it, I bought bras. It's not like I didn't need them, I did. I just hate buying them. The good ones are so $$$$. Thankfully I found a buy one get one free bargin. So, I am now the proud owner of 2 new bras. You'll have to let me know if I look perkier!

It's simple, I love Veronica Mars. I finished season 2 tonight. Most of my questions were answered, and like any good finale, a whole new set of questions were raised. I can not wait until the CW begins and I can start watching this show again.

***Carolyn took her first steps! YEA! She not walking, but she is standing alone and taking steps here and there. This is huge.

***Anthony was re-tested at speech this week and he is within normal range. Before he was way below normal. If you talk to him you can tell he's speaking much better than when he first got here.

***This is the Heidi Swap set at Costco. It's a little different from the one on Melibelle's blog. Nuna went and got it for us today. It has so much stuff in it. It's so cool. I think I'm going to use it to make a book for one of Jason's co-workers that just had a baby girl.

***Today was Savananh's first day of school. She was very excited, and happy to see her old teachers. This pic is so her. She has so much 'tude sometimes I want to throttle her, other times she is so sweet.

***We decided to stay in our house another year. Jason didn't want to renew the lease, but we didn't have much choice. All these people, all this chaos, I'm in no mood to move ourselves. Plus, the next time we move, I want it to be into our own home. We are not ready to buy a house right now. The upside? We get another summer at the Summer Creek Ranch Pool.

***I get a 2 day weekend! I love it when we have holidays. I actually get 2 days off. I can't wait until I make DM. Then I'll get weekends off, and a payraise. That'll be sweet.

All day I have been thinking about adding this song to my blog. Tonight I come home and my sister has it on her MySpace! I hate what the song is about, just b/c it's every woman's worst nightmare. He sings it so well though, that you almost feel bad for him! Now that's a talented man.

When I'm away from the puter I can think of a billion things I want to blog about. I sit my bottom here in this chair and it all escapes me. Gone, out of my mind. I know there was stuff to share, but I can't for the life of me think of it! AGH!

First Day of School!

Finally school has begun! Everyone was ready. I'm not sure who was more excited, us or the kids. It's adds extra stuff to our day, but it is oh so worth it!

I have been playing with my template. I'm LOVING the changes. The bright colors are totally my personality. I still have to figure out how to get rid of that white stripe. I like the change of moving all the info to the left. It's something different. I feel like a true blogger now!

It's the courthouse where Jason and I got married! I was looking up some info online and this just happened to be on one of the websites that came up. How cool is that? I haven't thought about that place in years.

So, guess what else? Jason got his first placement today! YIPEE! I'm so stinkin' proud of him. Industry standard is 1 in 8 in 90 days. Jason got 1 in 5 in 43 days:) He rocks! Not to mention the 1,100 commission that comes with it. Keep'em coming baby.

Another Late Night Post!

I have a good reason tonight:

After work I went to hang with lou. Darius got hurt at football practice. At first we didn't know exactly what happened, Welton just went to meet the ambulance on it's way to the hospital. All we knew was he broke his leg, and they thought maybe he might have hurt his knee too.

After a few hours we found out that he broke his femur(sp?) on the growth plate. Thank God he was so tall already! Last I knew, there was no damage to his knee. Wheew! I brought Lil Wel home with me while Lou and Wel went back up to the hospital. Darius was going into surgery about 9:30.

Please keep Darius, Welton, and Katina in you thoughts and prayers. It's a scary time for all of them. Darius has been looking forward to football season for months, he is going to be devastated that he can't play.

I'm sure Lou will update everyone over the next couple of days.

***** To ensure I received VM Season 2 from netflix I deleted my whole Q, but those discs! I'll put it all back later, but I wanted to make sure I didn't get something else.

*****I made a hair appt. for Thursday. I will be getting a cut and highlights, I so need this pick me up.

*****I went and got my eyebrows waxed today while on break at work. While I was gone another store manager called for me. My assistant told him, " She went to get her bush waxed". He about died laughing! Poor Kim, she had NO idea why. Yes, I did go get my BUSHY eyebrows waxed! Note to self.....Teach Kim More American Lingo........

THE DAY VERONICA MARS SEASON 2 COMES OUT ON DVD

I LOVE this show! I enjoy watching it with every ounce of my being. Veronica is the coolest outcast ever. She doesn't care what people say, or think. This season she gets back in with the "in crowd", but she's so not one of them. Could Logan Eckles be any cuter? I mean really, he's wearing an orange shirt...a man after my own heart. I have this on my Q with netflix, but it says "short wait". If they do not mail it to me tomorrow I'm afraid I might have to go buy it myself. How dare they make me wait one moment longer? I've been waiting since May as it is!

This mag ROCKS. It is full of quizzes and questions to ask your friends and loved ones. The quiz I gave the kids last week came from here. Lou brought it out on Saturday and we had SO much fun answering the questions. There are some really thought provoking ones in there too. BTW, I will be making a circle journal for all my friends with some of the questions for my friends. You do not have to do a circle journal, but I do want you to do a page in mine. If you live far away, I will mail it to you, and you can mail it back. If you do not scrapbook(you know who you are!), you can just use a pen to write in your answers. I really want a comprehensive book of my friends. All of them!

Beautiful

I am so incredibly blessed with wonderful, thoughtful, insightful, wise, and beautiful friends. God was truly looking over me when he brought these women into my life. Last night was our Girl's Night Out(GNO). I have to admit GNO of yesteryear are gone. No longer is it bars, dancing, drinking and behaving badly. We are grown ups now, we can be young, have fun, and drink margaritas and still still be ladies! Last night we spent about 5 hours sitting at On the Border. It was great. Lou brought her new quizzes and questions book(which btw I had to run out and buy today!) and we sat around, ate, drank, and just asked each other the questions from this book. I have known all of these ladies quite awhile and I still learned some new and interesting stuff. It was great just BEING TOGETHER. We didn't do anything special, but be with each other and that was enough. We totally busted on our server who was AWFUL. By awful I mean, I had to go to the bar 4 times to get lou's coke refills b/c the woman never came to our table. After OTB we went to Friday's to see Sister, and get a little dessert. I got home at 1:30 and crashed hard.

So, here's the to beautiful women in my life. You are so SO special to me. I cannot even put into words the effect your presence has on me. Although, I know that coming from me it may not be the same as coming from others in your life: YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL, INSIDE AND OUT.

This is my girl Lou. I know! She's gorgeous! I love her so much. Never have 2 people spent so much time on the phone during company time as her and I. She is almost always my first call when something happens, good or bad. Mwah!

Nuna...I'm so lucky to be be related to this girl! She is my tree hugging, garden growing, organic friend. I am constantly amazed by her desire for all things natural(except light!) She is so freakin' cute it's not funny. This girl is incapable of taking bad photo, she looks fab in every photo I have of her. HUGS!

Melibelle~This girl is one of my many gifts that came to me directly from God. When we met we just {clicked}. We were both at crappy points in our lives, and God put us together to help get each other through it, and we did! Last night was the first time that I had actually *seen* her in almost a year. We had many a phone, text, and IM conversions in the past year though. I'm going to be a copy-cat and get my hair done JUST like hers. I love it. Smooches!

Last, but not least, my Baby Sister! She is my best friend, my 2nd biggest pain in the butt, and she is beautiful. I am feircely protective of her. Probably too much, but hey that's what big sisters do! I am so thankful for the 2 neices she gave me. I love those little girls with every ounce of my being. Misty and I can just sit, and talk, and sit and talk, and sit and talk. Even better we can sit and not talk, and still know what the other is saying. XOXOXOXO

This weekend is going to be busy! 3 of the 4 kiddos start school on Monday and we have to finish up school shopping, clothing shopping, and grooming issues. Thankfully Jonathan and Elize are going to wear uniforms so all I have to do is buy the polos from the school and make sure they have khaki bottoms. Anthony is going to need some new clothes, and we still have to get his supplies. Elize is going to get her hair straightened, and both the boys will get hair cuts. I also have to break out the jumbo desk calendar again. Between 3 school schedules, therapy appts for Carolyn, cheerleading practices, football practices, 3 full time jobs, we are going to have a heck of a busy fall. I guess it's good thing I thrive on chaos, let's hope Jason and Misty do too!

Guess who's store is #1 in the Region????

That's right....MINE!

Store numbers came out on Monday, and we did great. Kim and I both could not wait until the district and regional managers did their numbers to see which store was going to be on top. I'm so excited! We totally kicked hiney last month. As a reward the RM and AM will take Kim and I to lunch while the DM works the store. I'm going to eat so slow!

Soooooooo....

2 fish had to go to the fish "doctor" today. Uncle Daddy will bring them home after work.......

Floating.....

Tonight after C.E.C. Jason brought home 4 gold fish for the kids. Sweet thought, but not well planned. The man does not read any directions, and knows a whole lotta nothing about fish. Yea, you see where this is going......

About 1 1/2 hours later we have 3 floating fish and 1 who looks like it's spazing out.

Crap! So I call Wal-mart at 10:30 to see if they sell gold fish. Praise God they do!

We get there and are chit-chatting with the fish guy, turns out you have to buy special stuff to make tap water OK for fish. We had no such stuff. Also, Jason did not rinse the rocks, nor did he let the water get room temperature.

So 4 more fish later we are home, let's pray they make it through the night.....and that the kids don't notice the size and color change.

Wishy-Washy

Yup, that's me. Not a phrase that would normally describe me. I'm usually pretty straightforward. This new job thing has me all confused! I tried to give Roy my 2 week notice on Friday, and I cried. Yes, I cried. I guess my emotions just got the best of me. So he told me to take until Monday. Today I told him I was going to leave, now I'm 2nd guessing AGAIN! I hate working on Saturday. I also hate the thought of being on commission. Also, I know I'm a shu-in for the next DM position that opens up. Can I hang on that long? Do I really want to drive 30 minutes 1 way, to have a Saturday off? Right now I'm 5 minutes from home, Jonathan's school, and Savannah's school. AGH! What's a girl to do?? I think I'm going to stay. If I can. Roy put out 2 offers today. I have to wait and see if they pass the credit and background check. I'm so confused. I want to be a SAHM again and not have to worry about any of this.

Can I even begin to explain how much I love this movie? I love this movie more than any other movie out there! It's cheesey, it has bad costumes, and way to many sexual innuendoes! I have gotten Elize to love it, and my hope is Savannah will too. It is one of my favorite memories of my youth.


I should hear something tomorrow about my new job. They have called 2x this week to verify my employment. I did my drug screen on Monday, and I don't have any worries about that. I'm still a little afraid of taking the new job and having both Jason and I on commission. We'll see what happens hopefully I will leave the Cash Store on good terms so if something happens I can go back.

I'm tired, I'm gonna lay down with Sister and watch Wimbledon. G'night!

Breaking Point

I have put up with so much! Been there when times got rough, and I mean really rough! Supported with out question. What do I get?? Not the same that is for sure. Is it hard right now? Heck ya it is. Will it get better? Of course! Does that mean someone has the right to be mean and ugly? NO! I'm so tired of the negativity. I can't hang with it. It's not me. I'm the positive queen. The girl who always sees the flip side, the happy side, the light at the end of the tunnel. I try and make the best of every situation. When life gives me lemons, I make the best darn lemonade. I can't handle all this negativity, I'm about at my breaking point.

I'm so ready for my Saturdays to be mine again! I keep thinking, in 3 more weeks no more Saturdays! Oh I can't wait! I'm still a little freaked out about the new job, but I think I'll be ok. Worst case senerio, I hold on for 6 months, then transfer out of that dept. OH YEA! Guess what? I can wear jeans to work! Hallelujah! It's business causal, so jeans with a nice top is OK! SWEET! I have never given a notice. Anyone know what I should say, how I should say it? I know they are going to be upset.

I got it!

Not that there was much doubt, but I got it! They offered me the job. I called back to accept, but the HR lady was gone for the day. I'm petrified of being on commission, but at least I have 3 months at a good salary to get into the groove of my job. It's further from home then I work now, but NO SATURDAYS!! Agh, the sweet sounds of the weekend. Just in time for football season. So if anyone is looking to purchase or refinance a home, I'm your girl!
