The Love/Hate of Sundays

I love the weekends. I get to hang out with my family, shop, clean, veg, cook. Yesterday Jason was going to go into work for awhile, but decided not to. We took the kids to lunch at THEIR favorite place. Then went grocery shopping, and to the park to play.

Jason trying to teach Savannah how to bat(it didn't work)Mr.Cool
My boy, he doesn't li to smile b/c of his teeth, it makes him look sad in all his shots

We had an awesome time. We played HORSE, catch, Savannah and I enjoyed the sun and read a little bit. It was an awesome way to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon.

When we got home I fixed an awesome dinner of meatloaf, mashed potatoes, gravy, and green beans. Misty told me that they were having that on Friday and I had been craving it ever since. It was SO yummy!! After dinner Savannah left to go to Kiyah's and the boys( Welton was here) had a grand time having the place to themselves. They eat tons of junk food and watched a football movie Jonathan rented.
While the boys were doing that, Jason and I worked on these....

I bought the letters last weekend when I bought the rest of the goodies for our room. They turned out so good! I love them. Also, on Saturday my pics for over the bed arrived. Yippee!! Jason and I haven't decided if we want to mat and frame them, or put them on a canvas and decorate the canvas's to match the letters. Either way I am loving our room. It only needs a few more things to be "done". The kids are not allowed to watch TV in there anymore, so that almost eliminates the clutter. It's always clean....ahhhhh... I love it.
Today I am working on laundry, and chilin. I am hoping to do some digi LO's later so check the other site if you get a chance. Jason has lemon bars in the oven, I can't wait for those babys to cool. They are my favorite treat!! I hope the day starts moving a little slower, I hate to see Sundays end!!

I love this song! Jason sent it to me today at work.

Underpaid

I'm about sick and tired of doing my TL's job. I'm about to throw a bunch of crap you may or may not understand, but it's a vent and I don't know any other way to vent it. Previously I split the investor portion of our job with another girl. So you'd think when she announced she was going to be out for 2 weeks they'd train someone to take her position right? Nope. Let's give Angel the portfolios for all the private investors! This part is Ok, I have 2 assistants, so I can delegate to them and do the work that I really enjoy(spreadsheets, reports, and investor contact). However, even with 2 assistants, this is a huge task. I am constantly busy. All this would be A-OK except my TL doesn't know how to do her job. She is constantly sending me crap, asking me crap, and having me do her crap. Which of course interferes with my job. Today she had me going in circles, b/c she didn't know what she was doing!! She wanted me to find her a contact. Fine. I found the internal contact, that would be who would possibly be able to help her find the external contact. Well, she doesn't know if this is the right person, so she wants ME to e-mail and find out if it is. Bottomline: She wants me to e-mail b/c she doesn't really know what to say or what information she is looking for. AAGGGH! So annoying. So glad it won't be going on to much longer.

Good Day :0) Bad Day :0(

Good: I called Staci this morning to chit-chat, and discovered she was in Ft. Worth!! Only 10 minutes from house. So I convinced her(it didn't take much) to swing by and visit. I had not seen her with my own 2 eyes since Memorial day weekend last year when Grace turned 3. We had a great time chatting, laughing, and playing with the kiddos. I got to play with this little guy who is 1 today!
Happy Birthday Morgan!!
Me and Staci
Photo taken by "Big Girl" Gracie! She did awesome!

After every pic Gracie took of Staci and I she wanted to take a picture with her Mommy.

Don't they look Cutie?

Me and my other Gracie Girl!!!
Gracie rockin the "innocent girl" pose!!

Bad: I took the car in for brakes and it needs bunches of other crap too. That's not so bad. The bad part is that they have to order some parts and I may not get it back until tomorrow! WHAT! I was very nice to the fellow and explained we are a one car family and I NEED THAT CAR BY 2:30!!!! He is in the process of trying to find the parts at differant dealerships, and hopefully he will be able to send one of his guys to go pick them up. If not I will have to rent a car for a day! Agh! What a pain!

Wheeew!

This weekend has flown by! Thankfully I have tomorrow off too! Yesterday we went and did some running around. I bought my Febuary gift for the Year of Angel! I picked up some goodies at Micheals for our bedroom. I really want to make it a special place for Jason and I , instead of the family hang out it is now. So this is what I got:
Can you take a stab at what the colors will be? I also bought some letters at Hobby Lobby to put on the wall, and e-mailed Mellibelle to order the 12x12 prints for over the bed. I need candles though(ahem, Staci) Yipee!!! We also picked up the stuff for Jonathans school project on the Planets. It turned out pretty good. It was a family project for sure!

We tried a new church this morning, and I am so frustrated. We cannot find one up here that we both like. We are tempted to stop being lazy bums, and just get up early to drive back to Meadowridge. It had the music and the message that we love. Not to mention people we adore. I keep in contact with some of the people from down there and I may see what the scoop is with the schedules now.

I did our taxes this weekend and we are getting back......$11. Yes, $11 bucks. I'm not suprised, I actually thought we'd have to pay in. It cost me $7.95 to file, so ya, not really making any money. Oh well.

I have pretty much firmed up the kiddos trip to Grammies. Jason and I have to put in the vacation time for the Friday before Memorial day, but that's it! Jonathan and Savannah are stoked to spend 7 weeks with Grammie, and Jason and I are stoked to spend 7 weeks child free! It makes me super thrilled that I have Big Kids that I can send off to the grandparents.

Jason and Jonathan are off playing basketball and will be home soon, so I better go and start dinner. I hope ya'll had a great weekend too!

The Best Valentines Day ever!!

This V-day ROCKED!! Jason and the kids got up and opened their gifts at 6:15 before I went to work. Jason got a movie, a CD, and some candy. The Savannah got some HSM stuff and Jonthan got NBB stuff. Then when I got to work.....Jason sent a dozen orange roses!! They are so pretty. I love them!!! Much better than red.

I love them( AND HIM) so much

Instead of going out we decided to stay home and try our hand at our new favorite food...SUSHI! We all went to the asian market and bought the goodies. The kids thought it was neat, but smelly!! This is our Sushi stash....

The Hallock Sushi Bar.....
rice, avacado, cream cheese, cucumber, imitiation crab meat, and salmon( yes, raw)
Not pictured: Nori

Sushi Chef Jason
Yummy!!! The sushi looks good too......hehehe
Savannah LOVED the Califonia rolls, Jonathan choose to eat one then proclaim he was "so full"
He's such a chesseburger and FF kid. He never wants to try anything new.
At work I won a valentines gift basket. It had bubble bath, candles, rose petals, cider, crystal classes, a teddy bear, chocolates and a $25 movie gift card. It was a nice unexpected v-day gift for Jason.
When the kids went to bed he came into the bedroom and saw this......

I shouldn't have to tell you how the night ended....

Do you know what these are?

Today Jason got the SI swimsuit edition in the mail. I asked if it had sports articles in it. He said, no. I said, Well are you going to keep it then? He looked at me, looked at the magizine and proceeded to tear it up. Not if it's going to bother you he said. He tore up the whole thing!! It made me feel good. And will probably end up getting him lucky tonight :0)

Yesterday it was beautiful outside! The kids have been begging to ride their bikes, so we decided to go for a walk. We walked up to QT which is about 1/4 mile away. It was nice. The kids rode their bikes, Jason and walked. Savannah is almost ready to have her training wheels off. Jonathan had his off the summer before kindergarten, but we haven't worked with her at all. Bad parents. We certainly couldn't do it Sunday, seeing how she was bike riding in a skirt!!

Daddy giving Savannah a "push start"
Jonathan at QT

Lookin' pretty for the camera....

My guy!! Today Jason sent me this lovely little ditty, to brighten my day:

Yesterday the sky was blue I walked with my family to Grab some cash and sneaky
I held a beautiful woman’s hand
She’s my girl of all the land
Forever doesn’t seem to long
To be with this beautiful brown Eyed girl
yes she is.
Hand in Hand we walk a street ,
our Kids on bikes their hearts we Beat.
One more may come On the way,
but for sure she’s Mine for forever to stay!

So....yeah

I want to write, but I have SO much swimming in my head I have no idea where to begin. What to put out there, what to keep to myself. What are people tired of hearing, what are they not... Who to tell, who not to tell. I'm not a keep it inside person. If I have an issue or a problem, I tend to air it rather quickly. Holding stuff in makes me mean, bitter ,and bitchy. I love ya'll but sometimes I wish I had a secret blog to air my feelings on before I come here, but than that would really defeat the blog perphaps wouldn't it? I don't know.....I just feel blah. Not a bad blah, nothing has happened or changed. Just woke up today and....BLAH! Maybe it's lack of sleep.

4 kids!

Yup, I have 4 kids tonight. Jonathan and Savannah each have a friend over. It hasn't been to bad really. We had Pizza for dinner, then the girls settled down to watch HSM 2 while the boys played Madden on the DS's. Jason is working tomorrow, so I will pick up the house, and do other domestic duties. I have to go to Hobby Lobby b/c I agreed to make a canvas for a raffle at work. It will be the first time I have touched paper scrap stuff in months. I'm a little excited and a little scared. What if it sucks?? Speaking of sucks. Amy and I unknowingly scheduled our girls weekend over Easter weekend, so we have to reschedule :0( That sucks! However do get to look forward to the 23rd, that's when I get to see Meli!! Hip, Hip, Hooray!!

Good Day

Today was my first day on the 7-4 shift. While it will take a little getting used to getting up early again I think I will like it. It will get me home before the family, so at least I can pretend I'm a SAHM. Plus I will get to catch up on my phone calls. Today I talked to Staci for almost two hours!! We had so much to catch up on. It was so nice to talk to her. The more we talked the more we realized how long it had been since we talked! I didn't realize it until we got off the phone but we have been friends 6 years in April!! WOW! I met her when Tanner was 9 weeks old and Savannah was in an infant carrier!!!

Cheers Stace, here's to us!

Blissfully Happy

Can you believe it's February already? The year is flying! We had a WONDERFUL time last night. Jason and I started the evening at a sushi place downtown called Paranhia Killer Sushi. It was yummy! I had the Loster rolls and Jason had California rolls with somesort of crawfish stuff on top, with a side of Crab Sashimi. Delish! Then we strolled hand in hand down to the convention center. It was a beautiful night. We had never heard of the 2 opening acts, but they were good. Finally, Casting Crowns took the stage. It was awesome! They are awesome. Awesome isn't even a descriptive enough word to describe how frickin' awesome it was!! Since the kids were staying over at friends we were able to sleep in a little and get in some quality snuggle time :0)

Every one has been curious about 999 Zillion percent post. Well you will happy to know I have made a scrapbook page about this event and posted on my new scrappy site! Ha! Another blog for you check out. I am going to do our 2008 family album in digital, so this will be where I post our family pages as well as any other scrappy projects I do this year. The link is:

http://ouryearinphotos.blogspot.com/

I will put in on my sidebar too, so if you just want to check it while are checking this one you can. I am REALLY loving the digi stuff. I can do sitting at the kitchen table while I cook dinner, I can stop in the middle and not worry about a child moving stuff around, if i mess up I just ctl, alt, Z. It's better than UnDo!!

It's a long one....

On Friday Jonathan had his surgery to remove his 2 front baby teeth as well as an "extra" tooth he had in his gums. My poor baby is going to spend much of the next 7-8 years in a lot of pain! He has serious mouth issues. He is missing, yes missing, 5 teeth. He will have braces for much of his tweens and teens to pull and yank teeth to fill the gaps. Then once he reaches 18ish he will have a few implants put in to fill in the remaining gaps. Hopefully he'll get a scholarship b/c his college fund is going to be paying for braces.
Jonathan pre-surgery. You can see how large his adult tooth in comparison to the baby teeth.
GAPPY! Now that the 2 baby teeth are gone there is a huge gap! Jonathan did awesome during the surgery. We got home about 10:30, and by 12:30 he was back to 100%. He's only had to take the T3 twice. I'm glad it went well. I don't want him to be afraid of the dentists since he going to spend a lot of time there over the next few years.
This was supposed to a 'before' pic. I really wanted Jonathan to get his hair cut, but him and daddy BEGGED to let it keep growing. I caved and my hippy boy will stay. It wasn't as pretty in color as it is in Black and White. I love the feel of it. It's so artsy looking.
Now this girl...I almost starting crying when I opened this pic. Her eyes are amazing. Beyond amazing Jason asked me if she put on make-up before the photo was taken, the answer is no. That is all Savannah. This was also meant to be a 'before' pic for a haircut, but she convinced her daddy to let her hair grow. All she had to do was bat her eyelashes and daddy folded. Katina did a page about her celebrity crush, so I decided to copy her and do one too. Below is my page about the one and only Tom Brady. He can be summed up in one word: YUMMY!!
I am in the process of re-doing our bedroom. It's the one room in the house that has never gotten any TLC. So. my plan is to little by little start picking up stuff for the bedroom. My friend Lisa at work is going to make us some throw pillows for the bed, I'm going to get some prints of Jason and I from our shoot with Melibelle to put over the bed, of course there will be partylite and candles! Today we bought new sheets, I'm SO excited about that. We were able to throw away the select comfort sheets that horrid saleslady sold us :0)

We got some other stuff in the works, that we are so stoked about, and everyday is one day closer....

Jonathan's Football Book

It's not done. I am however done with it for today. It's actully kinda boring to do football pics over and over! I was glad to do the last page for today with Jonathan and his girlfriend. It was a nice change of color. Enjoy!

He prayed with me

When I was done "taking care of things". When I sat there not knowing what else to do. When I was at a loss for words, actions, emotions. He came up to me. He kissed me. He put his arm around me. He weaved his fingers through mine. He told me he loved me. And he prayed for my Dad, for the man I had just spoken to, for the situation. Without me asking him to, he prayed. I love him.

AMERICAN DREAMS.....EAST TO THE WEST....DOES ANYBODY HEAR HER...I LOVE THEM ALL. I CAN'T WAIT!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!

Memory Lane

I love to go back through pics on my 'puter. Not only is it a great trip down memory lane, it reminds me of the scrappin ideas in my head that have yet to make onto paper.
These are some of my faves from tonight
This is the finished product of Jason's tattoo. I have about 40 pics of the entire 2 hour process. I even bought this cool Chinese paper(even though the writing is Japanese) to scrap it on. Is it done? Nope not yet :(
This is one I've actually scrapped, but it's still a fave. The kids look so cute and bright. I can't help but love this photo.
Savannah and Grammie.
I'm a total grammie's girl. It makes my heart swell when see a pic like this of my 2 favorite girls!!

Me and my hunny.

Whew! So much history so little blog space! He's my love, my life, we have been through so much. Every time I think we've reached our breaking point we come out stronger and better than ever.

Our family. The reasons I wake up everyday.Work is going OK. Everyone is freaking out about BOA coming in tomorrow. Honestly, I could care less. It won't effect me. I think I'm going to Happy Hour tomorrow with Lou and Teresa. Nothing can beat $2 margaritas and girlfriend time. Especially heading into a 3 day weekend. Jason doesn't have Monday off, so it will be and the kiddos chillin' here at home. What a wonderful day that will be!

Tuesday, January 15, 2008

Oh Happy Day!

Yesterday was the best day I've had in a LONG time!!! I can't stop smiling. I think maybe could fly if I tried!!

The Game

A couple months ago I sent out one of those chain e-mails called 'The Game'. You were supposed to respond and describe the person who sent it to you in 1 word. It was a nice ego boost and I decided to do a layout about it. I received 2 awesome, 2 strong, and 2 confident votes. Due to space constraints and repetitiveness I only place them on there once. Of course, it's orange....hehehhe.

I don't get it

How do these sites do it? You answer 4-10 questions about yourself. Or in this case you only put in your name, and wa-la, it tells you all about you. Like below, it's very close to to me. How does it know from typing in 'Angel'. Weird. Enjoy!

HoHoeHo

What Angel Means

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.
You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.
You have the classic "Type A" personality.

You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people.
You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts.
You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.

You are deeply philosophical and thoughtful. You tend to analyze every aspect of your life.
You are intuitive, brilliant, and quite introverted. You value your time alone.
Often times, you are grumpy with other people. You don't appreciate them trying to interfere in your affairs.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.
You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.
At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow.
You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily.
Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.

Year of Angel-Birthday 1

I have decided that during 2008 (The year of Angel) I will celebrate my birthday every month on the 13th. Nothing big(until October). I just want to do or get something that I would normally put on the back burner. Some thing that makes me feel better. So this month, for my first birthday of 2008. This is what I did...

I got solar nails. I had them years ago, but have never splurged to get them again. Well, in this year of Angel, I did. While I was getting my nails done, my hubby also got a manicure!! He totally liked it. His hands are softer and his nails look great. I told him, next month we'll go get pedis together.

Savannah had a birthday party today. It was at this place called Incredible Pizza. It makes Chuckie Cheese look cheap and boring. It has go-karts, bumper cars, mini bowling, putt-putt, skee-ball(my fave) , and every arcade game known to man under 1 roof. Yes, it's indoors. It's so cool. Savannah received an unlimited card as a party attendee, and we had a blast!!

Now we are home watching the Packs and the Seahawks. We have a friendly family wager on this weekends games. Savannah is the only one going for the Seahawks. I'm going to do some digi scrappin this weekend. I told a friend at work I'd make her a new myspace background, and i have ideas for a few other things I'd like to do.

It's a boy!

My sister had her sonogram, and it's a boy. She is due the end of May, so I have lots of time to shop for cutie boys clothes.

Rambles

I'm feeling better. Not so menstrual. The last 2 mornings I have gotten up and drank coffee. It helped. I'm embarrassed and ashamed to say it helped me get through the day without wanting to fall asleep at my desk. Regular Joe, I didn't even pay $4 for it. Just me and my big orange mug. I think I may make it a trend. Work is good. I start my OJT classes on Thursday. I have two classes this week, and 2 next week. Then I will be officially allowed to pass on my CW knowledge. So, I buy company stock..... Did you see today's closing price?? $5.47, yup my company stock is worth a Grande White Chocolate Mocha with an extra shot of espresso. Depressing. Praise the Lord I only have 20!!! I decreased my amount for next quarter, I'd rather spend that money else where. They brought back overttime. Which is good b/c I need the money, but bad b/c I have to wake up earlier to get there for it. Mornings are not my friend!! I do believe the devil invented them. I took my first step towards preparing for my girls weekend in Louisiana. Have I told you how excited I am about spending the weekend with Amy Beth?? Well, here it is...I'm excited about spending the weekend with Amy Beth!! Don't ask what we are going to do, b/c I have no clue! It's no kids, no husbands, no schedules, do what you want when you want girl time!!! Only a little over 60 days to prepare! That's really what I need the overtime for. Hehehehe. My sister turns 21 in a week. It makes me feel old. My BABY sister...21....oh yea...and she's gonna have a baby! What! I moved out when she was 9, to me she still is 9. Geez time flies. I'm still totally loving the digital scrappin' thing. Haven't done anything since the weekend other than download free stuff. That's the best part, there is so much free stuff!! Cute free stuff!! It's amazing. Tonight Oli came over for dinner. He is a gentleman from our old Church. I did a scrapbook for him and his wife and their trip to the Israel. Anyway, I guess my rambles are about complete. I think I'm tired.

Cranky

Yup, that's me. It's menstrual. I can't help it. As Jason just said when he read this "It's begun". Oh yes it has. I hate it. I despise it. Not that most woman like it, but I really hate it. I'm high strung, moody, emotional, and just plain mean. "Things" that normally don't bother me the other 21 days of the month, drive me insane and consume me during these 5-7 days. I re-think everything, ask questions that I already know the answer too, and even worse ask questions that have no answer. It sucks. I'm already praying for Friday.

It's not girly...

But it's more like "real" scrapbook style. These 2 are my favorites so far.

They are still simple(they will be for awhile!), but I'm really enjoying myself. I'm a little burnt out on football though. I think I'll do a girly Savannah page next :)

I have decided to do Jonathan's whole football album digitally. This is the first page.

Before and After

Tonight Lou gave me my first digital scrapbooking tutorial
Below is my page I did alone,
Me myself and I trying to figure out photoshop
This is my completed page, after my digi class,
it's so much better and cooler.
I have lots to learn, but I've got enough to get me started!

2008

has gotten off to a great start!! I know it's only the 3rd day, but I'm optimistic. They shifted some stuff around at work, so I have a little relief in some areas, and more responsibilities in others. I like it. I like pulling reports, cutting, sorting, pivoting....excel is my bee-otch!! Next week I will start training to become an on the job trainer. In '7 days and a wake up' I will lose my security blankie though. Katina has been my shield from upper management. She keeps telling us it might be better for us(our team)when she is gone, but I'm not so sure. I have a mouth that some people tend to find....hmmm...obnoxious??? I speak my mind, and that is not appreciated by most in our department.

Other than myspace profile I haven't done much for 'The Year of Angel'. I still need to set all my Angel songs on my player. I don't think I'm going to be able personalize my blogger background, the html is kicking my hiney and I just don't have the time right now to figure it out. I do still plan on doing my ME time on the 13th. I think I'm going to go get nails. I miss those suckers. I feel so girly and feminine with them on. Nothing says sexy like a french manicure!

I download some new digi stuff. I can't wait to play with it. I got some neat papers and embellishments. Katina is going to teach me how tomorrow after work. Yipee!
