PTO VP

Yup that's me! Can you believe it. I can't say it was a fair race b/c I was the only one running. They had to vote for me. There was 3 people running but, 1 didn't show up(you must be present to win..hehehe), and the other decided to run for a different office. So it was me. I'm excited. the school is great, for the most part. I love Jonathan's teacher. There just needs to be more parental involvement. There needs to be more "Angel" there.

Tonight was our district par-tay(as we have been refering to it). It was a BLAST. I think everyone had a great time. Me, Thomas, and Roy(my DM) did some shots. The ASM from Mansfield was a hoot! She brought her brother who about got us kicked outta the place! I think Sam and Sister made some pretty good money off of us. Some bailed early and some didn't show, but a great time was had by most!

A day off

Yup, that's what I have tomorrow. I don't know what I'm going to do. I have lots I want to do, but I don't want to make any real plans. I know I want to sleep in. That's about it. I have no days off. I work Monday-Saturday with Church on Sunday. I can't fathom what I'll do with a whole day off. One thing I can be sure of it will go by to quickly. Here's a list of the things I'd like to do tomorrow, We'll see tomorrow night how many of them(if any) get done.

**Sleep in
**Go to the Mattel outlet store
**Do some Christmas shopping
**Clean/Organize Jonathan and Savananh's room
**Move my SB stuff into this room(yes, it's still in my room)
**Clean and rearrange my room
**Wash/fold/hang/put away all laundry
**Go to lunch with my sister
**Go to Hobby Lobby/Mike's/Joann's
**Finish shopping for my Secret Santa
**Wrap some Christmas gifts
*****SCRAPBOOK!*****

I'm tired just looking at that list. I'll need another day off just to re-coup!

exhausted, tired, and wiped-out

What a busy day! We have been re-arranging like crazy. Just about everything and everyone that could be moved was! We put Savannah in with Jonathan, Misty and her girls in Savannah's old room, the computer(and hopefully by the end of the night) my scrap stuff into Misty's old room. We are also moving the TV from my room into the living room, and taking the TV from there and putting it into my room. Wheew! Makes me even more tired thinking about it. Why you ask? Privacy! The bonus room that Misty and her girls were in doesn't have a door. Their room was always open to anyone who walked into the house. They didn't have a closet either, so they used mine and Jason's. Also, the computer and the TV with the DVD player was in our bedroom. It pretty much made our room the central hang out of the house. Which is not a bad thing, but we just wanted our own space. So, now Misty and her girls have their own room(with their own closet!), and since the computer and the DVD player are not in our room anymore Jason and I will have a little more privacy as well. I still have to move my scrap stuff in here, and clean Jonathan and Savannah's room, but the bulk of the work is done. It was hard, but I think everyone will be happier in the end.

AKA

Also known as
i am known as lots o things
most good some bad.....
if asked my friends and loved one to describe me in 1 word
you would mostly likely hear:
honest
blunt
opinionated
yup, that's me
i have only recently begun to learn when to keep my mouth shut
it was a hard lesson
people don't always want to hear what I have to say
BUT
if you ask
i will tell
I am
Veracious

WAY outside the box here!
i don't do artsy
i don't do circles over the eye
everything about this page is not me!
notice all the A's are orange
sweet!

Who am I really?

i am a bunch of things. anyone who knows me, knows that. i chose just 5 for this layout. some good, some bad. this was the first challenge from the beyond appearances clan
they are similar to the effers, but are only on dare 7,
so i *may* have a chance to catch up!
I used
american crafts paper
doodlebug stickers
heidi swapp jewels
and my black zig marker
that's it!
lots of things out of comfort zone on here:
my handwriting
outlining my letter stickers
cutting those darn flowers by hand
making the pic just a little slanted
(so hard for me!)

Jonathan

My bubba
My buddy
My future NFL quarterback
My firstborn
This boy is awesome. He's going through a difficult phase right now.
I think it's that I'm about to be 8,
I'm going from being "little" kid, to being a BIG kid,
and I'm going to test my limits phase.
And, oh Boy, is he ever!
Even with his limit testing.
He is awesome.
He is polite
kind
sweet
thoughtful
smart
considerate
He is a
child of God
snuggler
brother
son
nephew
cousin
A die hard lover of football
He knows more trivia at 7 and 11 months
then most grown men!
Wanna know who won the first superbowl?
Ask him!
Who won the second?
Yup, he knows that one too!
He knows who the Bills played in each of their Superbowl losses
AND
what the score was!
He can name at least one player(past or present)
From every time in the NFL
He's amazing.
He's also book smart, this little guy has a thirst of knowledge that
only a 2nd grader can have.
He asks questions that I have never even thought about.
His grades are beyond worthy of bragging
Art 98%
Character Education 100%
Computer 92%
Health 100%
Language Arts 99%
Math 93%
Music 100%
PE 100%
Science 100%
Social Studies 99%
Spelling 99%
World Cultures 100%
I love this child more then I can even express in words.
He was totally worth the wait, worth the infertility work, worth the throwing up 6 times a day for 6 months, worth the 3 hospital stays, worth the pre-term labor scare,
worth the 16 hours of non-medicated pain.
I want to keep him with me always.
I dread the day he goes to Middle School
then High school
I get nausous thinking about college
And marriage?
What if he doesn't marry the right girl?
As he grows he makes me have more respect for my parents and grandparents.
I thought my children growing up would be easier,
but it's not
It's harder
Because
everyday
he
is one day
closer
to leaving me.

I'm a bad mom

Yup, that's me. Bad Mom Angel(or BMA as I'd now like to be called). Last night was halloween. I didn't take pictures. Didn't even think about it. And now, thinking back on it I'm not really sorry I didn't. I mean how many halloweens do I need pictures of? I don't "believe" in halloween I only let the kids "celebrate" it b/c it's all around them, and quite frankly I don't care either way. I even got comments at work from my DM and RM b/c I didn't decorate the store for halloween. I told them, " I don't do halloween". They both looked at me like I'd grown a 2nd head. I mean really, it has to be one of the dumbest holidays. It means NOTHING. We "celebrate" NOTHING. Expensive costumes, cakie makeup, and enough candy to rot your teeth out. As a mother who currently does not have dental insurance for her kiddos. I hate this "holiday". However, today I went to Hobby Lobby and they had all their Christmas stuff out! Now that's a holiday I can get into! It totally put me in the mood(down Jason, the mood for Christmas!) I can't wait to decorate the tree, to hear carols walking through Target, to see the children's faces light up as gifts "appear" under the tree.
Yeah, I'm a Christmas girl :)

Kopy Kat

I saw this on Amber Nicole's blog and thought it had some neat questions, so I copy and pasted:

1. Paper or Plastic? Paper if it's Target, plastic everywhere else.
2. Favorite Song right now? I don't know. I've been looking for a new one. Chasing Cars is getting old, I'm thinking HURT by Christina
3. If you could have ONE thing in your "heaven", what would that thing be? (anything) Is this my real heaven or a heaven on earth? Real Heaven would be a relationship with my Lord(duh, that's why I'm there!) Heaven on earth....My mom being sober....
4. Name one person (not friend or family) that has changed your life Amber Nicole, I don't know her. I've never even talked to her. Only today(after she posted AWESOME pics of her boy)was I able to even leave a comment. She is so talented. She is open and honest on her blog(something I aspire to). I feel more creative after reading her blog, she's that one that snapped me out of scrappin' birthdays and C-mas and got me scrappin about feelings, and moments. I am thankful for that.
5. Why do you think we get "chills" when we aren't cold?
No clue..I think I'll write to GA and ask them to address this on a future episode!

I am tagging Sister, Lou, Ten, Nuna, Tara, Ms. Tyne, and anyone else that reads my blog! Go now! Do it!

hmmmmmm

I think I'm tired of blogging. I don't get a lot of feedback. That bugs me. I can track from where the blog is read. I don't know people there. Why don't they say "hi", let me know they were here. And since I don't know who is reading, I don't feel comfortable being 100% "me". We'll see. Maybe it's just a phase.

Football and cheer leading is over. WOO-HOO! It was fun, and we all loved it, but we are so happy it's over. At the awards ceremony Savannah got the an award for most Christ-like from her coach. She was very excited about that. Poor Jonathan and Elize, their parents were their coaches so of course they couldn't get the award. They did great too though. I think I'm going o to sign Jonathan up for upward basketball. Jason isn't going to coach though! It'll be nice to just drop him at practice and go to the games without any of the extra stuff.

I gave Oli is book. My first scrapbook for hire. It wasn't done, but a lot of pages were in it. I think close to 40, and I still have at least 30 more to get done. It's so hard only being able to work on it on the weekends.

I recently figured out why I dislike working. It's not the job, or the people, it's the politics. I hate when people who have never done my job, never been in my store think that they know how to do my job. Um, HELLO! No you don't. It's hard not to kill the messenger. It's so dumb. Let me be, but they can't. They feel they have to harp about a missing fax cover sheet, when they got the rest of the stupid frickin' fax! Anyway....

I'm worried about Melibelle, if you're reading this please e-mail me, text me, call me, snail mail me, or contact me by any other means.

We are gonna do it, it's going to work

It'll be slow.
We have lots of planning.
I know we can do it.
We are both smart independent, hard-working women.
I'm thinking 1-2 years.
Hopefully less.
I want it to be right.
Be ready.
I want to say, be perfect
But I won't
It'll be just the way it's supposed to be
I hope

I'm so tired. I know you hear that all the time. It's true. Now it's a part of daily life. Oh well, listen to it or stop reading!

I sold my treadmill. I don't know that I would even call it "mine". I never even plugged it it. So I sold it to my collections girl at work. Hopefully she gets more use out of it than me.

Christmas is less than 2 months away. I'm stressed about this. Normally I'm done by now. I haven't even started, I don't even have any ideas. The kids are getting MP3 players, that's about all I know. I'd love to get them new bedroom furniture. That's like 2G's though, so it's not happening. I think I might start buying them pieces 1 at a time.

I'm almost done with Oli's book. I won't have it all done in time to give it to his wife, which bums me out. I can only work on it in my free time, and Lord knows I don't have much of that. It's wonderful though. I'm so pleased with how it has turned out. I hope they love it.

My DM makes such a deal out of when I need time off. I called today to see if I could take 90 minutes off for Jonathan's fall party, and he made me feel like he was doing me a favor by letting me go. I hate that feeling.

I'm still coming to grips with the fact that I'll neve be a SAHM again. It's rough, it's like part of me is dying. I'm going to work the rest of life. People do it everyday, I know. It's not what I want for me, for my family. I feel like I'm going to be stuck at my job forever. I will never make the money I make there anyway else. So I have to stay. BTW, thanks for attending my pity party......

Party Pooped

I'm exhausted. I want to go to bed. I still have to scrap. The party went great. The girls loved the castle bounce house. It was a great feeling not to have to entertain 20 kids. They went out side, they ate cake and ice cream, we opened gifts, they went home. Clean up was not as easy, but hey what do expect after having 30+ people running around your house?

I'm off to the table......

Party Prep

We are preparing for the "double birthday" which is what the girls' have dubbed the party tomorrow. The house is clean, the yard is pooper scooped, most of the gifts are bought. Thankfully Staci is making the cakes, have I mention how THANKFUL I am that Staci is making the cakes! We will be having all sorts of yummy munchies as well. I still have to clean my room and put away some laundry, and make the goody bags. I hope I have enough. Elize said some kids from her class are coming but they did not RSVP. I hate rude people.

I can't wait until tomorrow. The girls don't know it yet, but we are going to have a bounce house! Yup, a GAINT pink castle will fill our yard tomorrow afternoon. Isn't that so cool? I can't wait to see their expression. They are going to be so excited.

For those of you coming, I can't wait to see you tomorrow.
If you are not coming, you better live far away!

I love this man!

I mean I REALLY love this man! 10 years.....it seems like forever ago, yet yesterday. I don't really remember not being with him. Everything before him is pretty much a blur. How did I live 18 years without him? He came into my life at the most perfect time. and he is perfect for me. He puts up with so much crap from me. If I have a bad day or if I'm mad, he gets the brunt of it and never complains. He just listens and lets me vent on him. I love that. He not only makes me feel beautiful, he convinces me that I am. He doesn't waiver about it, he makes me believe it too. When I'm down he picks me up, when I'm high he lifts me higher.
He works hard for our family.
He is a great father.
He is my world.
I love you.

My gift......
He gave me 20 long stem roses with a card that made me cry(of course!) and a picture of my D80 that he swears he's going to get me no matter how much I protest.
Another reason I love him......

Exactly 5 years ago today, I was in labor....

With this beautiful girl.....
She is 5 years old today. I can't believe my "baby" is 5. In some ways it seems like she's younger, and in some ways so much older. For those of you that know Savannah she is a wonderful, exciting, girl. She is full of life and fun. I am so blessed to have her in my life, and thankful for all that she has given me and has taught and continues to teach me.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAVANNAH!

I'm home

We are back! I'm happy yet sad. It was great to come home to a bunch of hugs and kisses, but dang, did we HAVE to come home????? I wish I could fill you in a our exciting weekend, but the truth is it wasn't exciting, and that was exactly how I wanted! On Friday we checked into our cabin, got in the hot tub, went to dinner, got in the hot tub, went to bed.

On Saturday pretty much the same thing except we went and got massages.

It was great to have NO time line, no where to be, and no one to entertain.

This was out cabin, it was called the Linderhof, which for those of you that have never been stationed in Germany is one of King Ludwigs Castles.

It was perfect.

I'm going to try and convince the lifesavers to have a weekend there!

This is my hunny in the hot tub, we spent a lot of time in there!

I mean really it's on back porch, we didn't want it to go to waste:)
~~~~~~
Today I had to come back home to real life:( And to make real life worse I bought a coffee pot. I officially feel old. I only drink coffee from Starbucks, I have never made it at home before. Now I think I'm to a point where I have to. I have made a command decision to get up everyday at 6:30. I can only do this with help from my good friends, Black and Decker, and Folgers. When I got home I had to go grocery shopping and while out I bought me this: It has a timer so I won't actually have to get up and make coffee, it'll start perculating on it's own at 6:20. Sweet.
~~~~~~

When I got home and checked my cluster map, there was a whole bunch of new hits in places where I don't think I know people. Which I know is not uncommon in the blog world, but it still trips me out. I wish they would comment, then I think of all the people I blog stalk and don't comment so, I guess we are even.

Thank you to my sister and kiddos who not only had cake and presents waiting for me when I got home, but had also cleaned the whole house and done laundry! YOU ROCK!

Thank you to my lovely friend Melibelle for the fabulous Those Were The Days kit she got me for my birthday. I love it!!! MWAH!

This was by far my best birthday in recent history, a special thanks to all.
I love each and everyone of you.
