I'm a bad mom

Yup, that's me. Bad Mom Angel(or BMA as I'd now like to be called). Last night was halloween. I didn't take pictures. Didn't even think about it. And now, thinking back on it I'm not really sorry I didn't. I mean how many halloweens do I need pictures of? I don't "believe" in halloween I only let the kids "celebrate" it b/c it's all around them, and quite frankly I don't care either way. I even got comments at work from my DM and RM b/c I didn't decorate the store for halloween. I told them, " I don't do halloween". They both looked at me like I'd grown a 2nd head. I mean really, it has to be one of the dumbest holidays. It means NOTHING. We "celebrate" NOTHING. Expensive costumes, cakie makeup, and enough candy to rot your teeth out. As a mother who currently does not have dental insurance for her kiddos. I hate this "holiday". However, today I went to Hobby Lobby and they had all their Christmas stuff out! Now that's a holiday I can get into! It totally put me in the mood(down Jason, the mood for Christmas!) I can't wait to decorate the tree, to hear carols walking through Target, to see the children's faces light up as gifts "appear" under the tree.
Yeah, I'm a Christmas girl :)

Don't feel too bad, because I didn't take any pictures either. I just didn't think about it. Darius went out with his friends and Welton took Lil' Wel to trick or treat with Demitrius, so I was home alone. That's when I thought about pictures, but didn't remember when they all came home.

Halloween is my second favorite holiday to decorate for (second to Christmas of course). Yes, I realize there's nothing really to "celebrate" I just think all the decorations are too cutie. I'm trying to be patient and put out my fall/Thanksgiving stuff now but the day after Thanksgiving - watch out!

Halloween and Christmas are the ONLY two days I decorate my house for, and I usually go ALL OUT - Griswold Family Christmas style-break out the sunglasses! I just think of Halloween as a day for the kids to just have a good time and I agree with Staci about the decorations being cute.
