Waiting Game

I had the 4th "interview" today.

It was a group meeting with the other office members.

I think it went well.

Now we wait for a job offer...

A job, Lexulous whore, Twilight and a room change...

Let me just start by saying I am EXHAUSTED and if I had 1/2 a brain I'd be trying to nap instead of updating. However I don't deem 30 minutes a "nap worthy" amount of time. So here I am.

Today I had an interview, two actually. On Friday I interviewed for an office manager position for a local real estate office. Today, I interviewed for the same company but with the accountant and later in the day the co-owner. Tomorrow, I go back to have a group session with the 2 buyers agents, and a part-time office aid. Then, they will have a team meeting and discuss me :O) On Friday the owner said, "I have learned to hire slow and fire fast". It's neat that they value team cohesiveness and take every body's opinions into account. It's just so many more people to impress! Either way I should know something by Friday.

Lexulous. Are you tired of hearing me talking about it yet? I am proud to say I have made another junkie..Welcome Staci to Lexulous Anonymous! I will happily admit she beat me in our first game, but I'm whipping her now!! Do you know what this means? I have "converted" 4 people! I play with Amy, Misty, Jason, and sometimes my brother via e-mail, and Staci and my cousin Michelle on Facebook. I love it.

Breaking Dawn. It's the 4th and final book in the Twilight series. It's mere 800ish pages... I am glad I was bullied, I mean talked, into reading these books. I do enjoy them, and I liked the movie too. Although like all book to movie conversions, the book is better. I still am not, nor will I ever be a Jacob fan. I guess I like love to run smooth..and I don't believe in being in love with 2 people at 1 time, so it makes the story convoluted to me. Just my 2 cents everyone else thinks it's an important part of the storyline.

Harrison's Room. Yup, you read right, he has is own room now. For some reason unknown to me J and S ASKED to share a room. So, we moved them into Jonathan's room and put Harrison in Savannah's old room. It is quite barren right now since he doesn't have a whole lot of furniture(since he didn't have a room) but I am SO excited to begin the froggy buying!! Woo-Hoo! I'll take some pics of what he does have and post it on his blog in the next few days. On a side note: CAN YOU BELIEVE MY BABY IS ABOUT TO BE 6 MONTHS OLD?? Craziness.

Busy, Busy, Weekend!!

What a weekend! On Friday Savannah went to see Monsters VS Aliens with Grampy and some of the other kids in the family. She loved it. She thought it was hilarious. While she was at the movies Jason, Jonathan, Harrison and I hung out here at the house. We rented Beverly Hills Chihuahua from Cox On Demand. It was a cute movie. Glad I didn't see it at the theather, but it was a fun way to spend a Friday night.

On Saturday we took the kids to the park for the town Easter egg hunt. It was crazy, and not worth the effort to me, but the kiddos had fun. I wanted to get Harrison's picture taken with the Easter bunny, but Jason left the camera in the car. After that Harrison and I went to Grammie's while Jason took the kiddos to the park to play basketball. It has been unseasonably cold for spring, and Harrison didn't need to be outside. When we got home from Grammie's we had our tax check waiting in the mailbox!! Whoo-hoo! It only took about 4 weeks after they received my injured spouse form to get the check :O) So of course we went shopping!!

We got the kids new clothes and shoes, Jason got new shoes and I got a new outfit. The best thing we got was a grill! Oh how that will make dinner so much easier on me!! It was fun to go shopping and pretty much get whatever we wanted. I got H a froggie outfit and froggie sippy cups for Harrison. I can't wait to put it on him! He's growing so fast! He is almost out of his 3-6 month clothes!!

Jason grilling himself a burger at 11 o'clock at night!
Jonathan with his new skater shoes.
Savannah's "Heidi Hy-tops". At first I didn't want her to get them. They look like something I would have worn when I was her age! However after much thought, I decided if they make her happy, I don't care. They are starting to grow on me, and I have to admit they match most of her clothes!
Harrison's froggie cup!
This morning we went to church for the Easter service. It was wonderful. The kids decided to stay with us during the service instead of going to childrens church. Jonathan was pretty good, but Savannah got antsy about 30 minutes in. Harrison slept through most of it.

This is us at Grammie's before Church this morning!

My boys!
Daddy and the kiddos
Momma and the kiddos!
The Hallock Children
Tonight we had Ham, Garlic Cheese Mashed Potatoes, Green Bean Casserole, and Deviled Eggs for dinner. Yummy! The house is clean, laundry is almost done...ahhhh...this is the life.....

Friday Fill Ins

1. Anonymous...should be outlawed. If you don't have the balls to leave your name when saying it, you shouldn't be saying it!

2. Forgiveness is an essential part of moving on and letting go.

3. Let me embrace thee, sour adversity, for it will make me stronger!

4. Blooming tulips is what I look forward to most about Spring.

5. Who needs therapy when when I have a blog and a best friend :O)

6. Orange peeps MUST go into the Easter Basket!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward ribs and visiting with Grampy Alex. Tomorrow my plans include a little shopping and egg dying and Sunday, I want to enjoy Easter with my family while basking in the awesomeness that Jesus has risen!

My new red colander and yellow measuring teaspoons to go with my orange measuring cups from last week!

Grammie bought me a Paula Dean red pan to go with my orange Rachael Ray cookware!

Doesn't the colander look great with my orange bowls?? I can't wait to keep adding to my orange, red, yellow kitchen :O)

From My Sisters Blog....

What would the child you once were think of the adult you have become?

DEPENDS ON ANGEL THE CHILD AT WHAT STAGE: ANGEL AT 12 WOULD BE DISAPPOINTED. AT THAT TIME I WANTED TO BE AN ATTORNEY, NO KIDS, NO HUSBAND, JUST A FANCY APARTMENT IN A BIG CITY. ANGEL AT 17 WOULD BE HAPPY. THAT WAS WHEN I FIGURED OUT ALL I REALLY WANTED TO BE WAS A WIFE AND MOMMY AND ALL THAT OTHER STUFF WAS OVERRATED!

If you could wake up tomorrow having gained any one ability or quality, what would it be?

I LIKE MISTY'S, SELF DISCIPLINE, I NEED THAT TOO.

After your death, an author will write your biography. What will the title be?

LOVE NEVER FAILS, PEOPLE DO
NOT EASILY BROKEN
TIME HEALS ALL WOUNDS, IF YOU LET IT

How do you picture your funeral? Is it important for you to have people mourn your death?

I DON'T WANT PEOPLE TO MOURN MY DEATH. I WANT PEOPLE TO CELEBRATE MY LIFE!! I WANT A PARTY, WITH LOTS OF ORANGE, I WANT IT TO BE OUTSIDE IN THE SUN, WITH THE BREEZE BLOWING AND MARTINA MCBRIDE'S SONG "BLESSED" PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND.

Seriously..I don't know what to blog about..

It's not often I'm at a loss for words. Normally I can spew on and on about nothing, I 'm just not feeling wordy lately.

We had a big spring storm on Friday and Saturday. Two inches of ice followed by 6 inches of snow. We rented movies, made soup and stayed inside. Saturday afternoon Jason and the kiddos went and built a snowman. Sunday we picked up around and house and hung out.

This Friday is Jason's appointment with FA at WSU. He is stoked. It's slowly becoming a reality. He is so ready for August he can hardly contain himself!

I'd really love to know who from the American Association of Respiratory Care in Texas checks everyday. It's killing me!!

The kiddos are great. Savannah did amazing on her report card. I know she is smart, but I sometimes forget until I see the comments on there. I think her teacher may think she is genius. She is reading at a 2.9 grade level. Jonathan did well, but he is getting older and it is getting more difficult for him. Geometry is kicking his hiney. He joined 'Battle of the Books' which I think is like a grade school quiz bowl. Not relay for sure, but he is excited about it. I love that he loves to read. My love of reading is one of the greatest gifts I can give my children. Harrison is well. Growing like a weed! He weighs 17.4 lbs! He smiles and laughs so much. He can brighten my day so quickly. He does open mouthed kisses now. Ahhh, they are my favorite!!

No bites on jobs, the Good Lord has decided I'm really meant to stay at home!!

I don't feel like blogging

But I don't have anything else to do, so here it is.

The kids had an awesome time at Michelle's on Saturday. Harrison slept through the night for her(I told you he hates me!). He snoozed from 9p-7a, WTC!! Oh well, I'm glad he was good. She had to go to Wal-mart to get a new outfit for H b/c he peed through his sleeper during his 10 hour sleep fest. Jason and I ordered in pizza then went to sleep. Yup, sleep not "bed". We both took 2 Tylenol PM and called it a night. I woke up at 3:45a with an incredible toothache. I took 3 Tylenol and 1 more Tylenol PM and went back to bed. Jason woke me up at 10, and I wasn't ready to get up!!

I had 2 of my 3 interviews today. The first one was for the Life Skills Trainer. I can't do it. It turns out that it's working with low functioning mentally retarded people. Most of them are in wheel chairs and would need "bathroom" help. NO. I know that is not the job for me. I would enjoy working with high functioning, but not low. Add that to the fact that it is the lowest paid job...it's just not an option for me.

I also had my phone interview with BOA, and it went really well. She straight up told me that if for some reason this position is filled(b/c they have already interviewed several people) that she will keep my information at the forefront of her mind b/c "based on your resume and this conversation I think you would be a great fit for BOA" SWEET! They offer benefits starting after the first month of employment, YEA. That's what I like to hear. I really hope it works out.

I have another interview in the morning at. We'll see how that goes....

Catch Up

Breakfast
If your job made you move, but you could choose which country you would be living in, which country would you choose and why?
It's not like this has never happened to us..but..If we had to move to another country now..I think I would choose Greece or Italy. I loved living in Germany but I wouldn't go back since we've been there done that. Greece is one place I've always wanted visit. Hopefully it would be a good place to live too. As far as Italy is concerned..well..it's the home of pasta, and we all know I love pasta!

Lunch
Do you have any phobias?
Yes, I have a HUGE fear of slipping on ice and busting my teeth and knees. I will not walk on ice if at all possible.

Dinner
What is something you can't help but spend money on?
Bills of course! If I don't pay them bad things happen!

Midnight Snack
What profession/job did your parent(s) have while you were growing up?
My momma was a collection agent for a local credit bureau, and my dad was a production manager for several electronic companies.

Recipe of the Week (instead of your recipe for life what is it just for the week?)

LET GO AND LET GOD

Last night we went to the last Thunder game of the season. We invited my cousin Michelle and her family to come along too. It was a great time!! The guys actually watched the game, but Michelle and I pretty much chatted and caught up on the past few years.

Jason and I

Jason and Nick(Michelle's husband)

Michelle and Savannah(Savannah loved Michelle and was only slightly saddened that her daughter Desiree' didn't come. She is excited to see her tonight though!)

Michelle and I. We had so much fun talking about stuff we used to do together as kids, grannie (and her cooking!), our lives now...
The Girls

Jonathan, my brother Ryan, and Michelle's son John were at the game too, but they were all camera shy. Tonight all 3 kiddos are going to Michelle's!! Whoo-hoo! I can't wait!!

I hope one of them works out...

I have 4 jobs in the works!

I interviewed for a bookkeeping position at a local vault company yesterday. I like it b/c it's a small company and a very laid back friendly office environment. I think pay would be average for the area, but it's 35-40 minutes away! A commute that is nothing in TX, but that's a long way around here. Quirky fact: It's across the street from my aunt and uncles house!

BOA. This is the job I want. Mainly b/c it's the one that pays the most and has the benefits we need. It's Jack of all trades type position. Teller, New Accounts, ect. This one is far too, but not near as far. It's on the wide side, so Jason and I could easily carpool :O) I have a phone interview Monday afternoon.

Life Skills Trainer-This is the job that I would LOVE. Helping people become better, teaching them how to overcome. This is a job that would make me feel like I was making the world a better place. Which of course means the pay sucks! I mean just plain sucks, barely more than retail. I'm interviewing for this position Monday morning.

And Finally, Lending. It's a title loan place. Similar to payday loans, but instead of keeping your check they keep you car title. This position is neither here nor there to me. After working at TCS I could do this with my eyes closed. The pay is middle of the road. The position is for a "floater" which means I could work at any of the 9 Wichita locations this business has. Nice, b/c it's always something new, sucks b/c I wouldn't have my own area or desk anywhere. I interview for this position Tuesday morning.

So, pray. Please pray that God puts me where he wants me, it's all in his will.

UpDaTe

In the big kids absence I put H's crib in J's room. I think I may leave it in there too! He still wakes up, but I sleep better not listening to his every move! He still isn't sleeping well, but I know why now. I can see his 2 bottom teeth just below the gums...ouch!!

This Prince and I took a walk the other day and he looked so darn cute I had to take a picture!
Here he is on St. Patty's Day. Funny Story..I bought this onesie 2 years ago for Morgan with NO intention that it would ever get passed back to me. Oh how the Lord work in mysterious ways! Here is H in the onesie :O) It says 'Rub my belly for Good Luck'. Thanks Staci!
The kiddos are coming home from my parents today. My mom is supposed to leave Abilene about 10. So I need to hurry up with this blog and get the house picked up! They have had a great time. Aunt Tiffany took them to her friends farm to ride horses and play. My best friend from high school( and middle school..and elementary school..) Teresa took them for over night too. They made their own pizza which Jonathan declared to me was the best pizza he he had!!

At the farm pond

With Elizabeth in front of the ponies

Savannah holding a baby goat-My fave pic!!

Making pizza at TC's!

It seems this job thing runs in cycles. I had an interview yesterday. I also had 2 missed calls from jobs I applied for, and an e-mail to call and set up an interview. WOW! The best one is Bank of America. I missed their call yesterday, I hope they call back today... In even better news...Jason got a pay raise! He now makes more than he did when left his job in Texas! Woo-hoo. PRAY they let him stay on part-time once he goes to school. He would have to work 50 hours a week at a crap job to make the same as 20 hours at his current job. He also may have chosen a nursing specialty, I'll announce what it is when he makes his final decision.

Since I know she's a faithful reader..I have a surprise for my sister :O) Not sure when I'll get around to mailing it, but it's something that will benefit both of us!!

Thank you to my smart ass friend Amy who left a comment yesterday and today even though I didn't blog..turkey lip. Oh, brrr is NOT a word!

You knew it was coming

I want comments it drives me INSANE, when I know people have been here and haven't left comments. I shared this "tantrum" with some of you and some of you agreed and some of you didn't. Thankfully, this is my blog and we get to play by my rules :O)

As much as I enjoy blogging, I don't do it just for myself. If that were the case than I wouldn't have readers. It would be just me and my private blog. It's for you guys too. Judging by the number of hits I get in a day you like reading my blog. So then why don't you leave comments? B/c the posts are boring? Then why are you reading? I don't understand. I make a conscious effort to leave comments on others blogs. There is always something that can be said. I think of it as a conversation. If we were sitting in person and I said to you in person what I say on a blog, would you just sit there with no response? No, no you wouldn't.

Commenting takes about 20 seconds, more if you get wordy, but I'm not asking for that. All I'm asking for is a:

Yay, that's great
You suck
I love you
I hate you
I'm happy for you
Sorry that happened to you
That's great to hear
ect, ect, ect.

It's really not that much. If I put 10+ minutes into writing a blog, I expect you to put 20 SECONDS into writing a comment.

Now some of you may be thinking...she is off her rocker...
Perhaps..I'm not arguing that :O) The fact of the matter is EVERYONE LOVES COMMENTS! You know when you log into your blog, myspace, facebook that you LOVE comments. If you didn't you wouldn't belong to those sites. You post a new blog, you want comments. You post new pictures, you want comments. You post a new note, you want comments. I'm just saying what everyone else feels but doesn't voice.

So...the point is leave comments. If you don't I will lock the blog again, and I will not invite you to be a reader. Simple as that.
