Good Bye 2007!

There is not a single cell in my body that is sad to see 2007 go. This year can't end fast enough for me. Tonight we were supposed to go to a friends house for a shin-dig but Jason didn't feel like going at the last minute so we stayed home. I was pretty bumed at first, but it turned out great. We ate shrimp, ritz w/ easy cheese, and drank sparkling cider :) We even got the plastic wine cups so the kids could feel grown up and special. We played Sports Scene It and Friends Scene It, set off "firecrackers" (poppers), and basically just hung out together. It was nice. I had hoped for a bigger end to 2007, but in all honesty the year has been "exciting" enough. So maybe a lazy evening with the family it the perfect end to a not so perfect year!!!

A toast to the new year
Chug it, Chug it, Chug it!!!
The reasons I wake up everyday
BOMB!!

Yes, she is wearing pink eyeshadow
Daddy and his Princess
Jonny Boi
Did someone say easy cheese??
Drinking the cider, notice how Savannah is holding her glass? SCARY!!!
2 people that couldn't be more ready for 2008
Have a safe, fun, and prosperous New Year!!

Today is the last day of the worst year of my life!

WOO-HOO!

16 hours, 57 mins and counting......

Frusrated!

I am try my hand again at this digital scrappin thing, and well, AAAGGGGHH! I took a tutorial from a website, which didn't help me much. I love the feel of PSE 6, but I still can't get this damn layers thing. Lou is going to help me next weekend, thank God b/c I'm about to go crazy trying to figure it out.

I scrapped!!

It's amazing how time changes things. How life changes. A few years back I would have considered myself an "avid" scrapbooker. I scrapped almost every weekend. Either at home or at someones house. The lifesavers spent lots of time together. Scrappin' or shopping, cooking, or just hanging out. Now I hardly ever scrapbook. And I see the lifesavers even less. The only was I can stay in contact with them is through our blogs. All of us, but Diana, have blogs that we attempt to update on a regular basis. It sucks that bloggin' is our way of staying in touch, but it is better than nothing I suppose. Anyway here is a layout about my blog. On the first page is a pic of my blogspot page and my myspace page. On page 2 is a little blurb about how much I love blogging, and a list of the blogs I read.

Merry Christmas!!

Christmas Eve!

We have several Christmas traditions. One of the biggest one is PJ's on C-mas eve. Every year the kids get new PJ's to put on after their bath. They've caught on. They know what they are getting, yet they are still on the edge of their seats to open the gift! This year was extra special b/c Nana sent stockings for the kids with her box and we let them open those tonight too!
Jason wanted me to open one of my gifts early so I would have it for tomorrow.
I got a new camera! It's way better then the one I had. It has an awesome zoom, and is very sleek looking.
Savannah received a Barbie camera from Nana and Grandpa in her stocking!
Jonathan with his mini playing cards
Savannah sprinkling reindeer food on the balcony
After dinner and bath we drove and looked at Christmas lights. We stopped at Starbucks to get coffee and cocoa, and then we were off. At about 7:45 Savannah was ready to come home and go to bed. After they got the reindeer food ready, they got Santa's cookies and milk ready. Don't worry Santa, they aren't really eating your cookies!
MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE HALLOCK FAMILY!

New Do'

I have been needing a pick me up for awhile. I have been wanting to get my hair done, but it's so expensive! I found out a girl at work has her license, and asked her if you'd hook a sister up and she said yes!!! I got rid of the red, and went back to my natural brown with blond highlights. I really like it. It's a little out of my norm, but I'm always up for a change. It's only hair.

The kids are out of school for C-mas vacation. Wheew. It's gonna be a long one! I have so much respect for those day care workers! Savannah's teacher nominated her for gifted and talented. What an honor! I have to send the paperwork back after the vacation for her to be tested.

I'm almost done with my shopping. I have a few gifts to pick up still. The grandpa/dads are killing me. They are so hard to buy for! I need to get a couple things for Jason too. He's in the living room wrapping my gifts right now....I can't wait for Christmas!

Wheew!

We barley missed a Christmas disaster!! We have been planning for months to get the kids Nintendo DS's for Christmas. A pink one for the princess and a black one for the prince. Well, they have been in stock everywhere and we had no worries we would be able to find them when the time came. WRONG! I went to Target today to get them, and all they had was red! I called Jason and we decided no biggie we will get them at Wal-mart. Well, 2 Wal-marts and another Target later, we start freaking out. Fine, we'll order them online and suck up the shipping(I hate shopping online!). Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Circuit Cit, Amazon, they all say the same thing: OUT OF STOCK. Shit, Shit, Shit, full blown panic is about to set in. Until....we notice wal-mart.com has a search device where you can search local stores for certain products....1 Wal-mart in a 35 miles radius has the white, black , and red DS's! Jason takes one for the team and heads out right before dinner. Meanwhile I'm at home constantly refreshing to make sure they stay in stock. Then I get the call....."merchandise is in hand". Christmas disaster diverted!! Savannah will be getting a white DS instead of a pink one, and Jonathan will be getting a red one instead of a black one, but oh well. I'm sure on Christmas morning it won't matter a bit!

A shot in the butt

That's what Jason got tonight:) Turns out he wasn't just being whiney, he's actually sick. Really sick, he has pneumonia! He called me from work and told me he wasn't feeling any better, and that he looked on WebMD and he thought he might have pneumonia. I immediately went to the Care Now website and signed him up for the web check in. We arrived at 5:45, they took blood and a chest x-ray, and came back to let us know we were right, he has pneumonia. He got a shot in the butt, and sent home with some oral antibiotics, decongestant pills, and an inhaler. Long live the meds!!

My baby is 9!

I know I'll say this every year on his birthday until the day I die, but it's true. My "baby is growing up. He had a great birthday. He got 4 tickets to Sundays Cowboys game, a messenger bag, over the door nerf b-ball hoop, and a 2007 year in sports book, Yeah, he's spoiled. Now before you start thinking we have a secret stash of dough somewhere, let me tell ya Jason won the tickets at work. So they were free, and we are still poor! Jonathan gets to choose a friend to go with him, which is pretty exciting. He is also having 3 friend over on Saturday.

We are supposed to go Christmas shopping tomorrow. Jason is sick though. He went to bed at 8 last night and slept until 7 tonight when the kids and I got home. So we will see how he feels. I am way behind on my shopping! I only have about 3 gifts for each kid, and one for my niece. That's it. Normally I'm done by now. I forgot I do have one of Jason's gifts on the way :0) Still that is way behind for me!!

The Circle of Trust

I don't trust many people. This may come as surprise if you know how many friends I have! It's true though. I have only a little over a handful of people who are in my circle of trust, and a plethora of people of who I deem adequate of my presence. Sounds egotistical I know, but it's true. I'm very particular about who I am friends with and even more particular about who is allowed in the circle of trust. Here's the thing about my circle, it's HARD to get in, and even harder to stay in. If you are lucky enough to earn my trust you better be prepared to be honest, forthcoming, loyal, and true. Some people find this to hard. Some people want to to be in many circle of trusts, and will jeopardize one for another. It's not that 1 person can't be in more than one circle of trust, you can. It's how you go about obtaining entrance into the circles, that shows your true colors, and therefore makes you potentially unworthy of my circle.

Love all, trust a few

So I shall Mr. Shakespeare, so I shall....

Christmas Party

Last night was Jason's company Christmas party. It was nice. Kinda boring, but aren't they always? Jason won a $50 American Express GC. The food was awesome. Happy Holidays!

I love me some Friday

I've got a busy weekend ahead. Tomorrow I'm working 8-12, tomorrow night is Jason's company Christmas party. Sunday is Church, laundry, and cleaning. Somewhere in there I need to scrapbook. I still have 5 projects to make for Lisa and another lady at work asked me to make a book for her too. I do more crafts for others than I do for myself. Maybe once I get my Christmas gift it'll get me back in the groove.....

Oh Sweet Blog!

I'm so happy to be back. Today was the first day in 3 days I have felt normal. When I was young I never had PMS, now I am a hormonal train wreck for 3-4 days a month. It's insane. Amy warned it would be like this, and it is! Guess what Jason did today? Bought Tampons, yup, all by himself. He went to the store before he picked me up from work. I told him we could wait until I got off work, but he was cool with it. It's amazing the man could watch children come out of my body, yet not buy Tampax. Now he has.
