Week in Review

Wheew, what a great week!
I LOVE my job. It definitely has potential to be stressful, but it keeps me so busy and I'm learning so much! I work in a Real Estate office as the Office Manager/Transaction Coordinator. When someone buys a house it's my job to make sure it closes. I schedule all inspections, make sure all the forms are filled out correctly, follow- up with lenders to be sure they have all the information for processing, answer any questions from the buyer/seller/other agent. It's the same thing over and over, but no contract is exactly alike. Each property/seller/buyer has their own set of issues. After 1 week I have so many crazy stories! My agents in my office work their arses off for their clients, they go so much above and beyond, it's insane. I have Internet access at work to get on FB, MS and such. However, I don't have time. I'm SO busy. Most of the time I am reminded to go to lunch by my engorged boobies! I pump then come back to my desk to eat. I don't even have time to miss my big H during the day. The best part is I don't come home at the end of the day exhausted. I still have energy to clean and play with the kiddos. Which says a lot since H still isn't sleeping through the night.

Yesterday we went and looked at furniture. We only have 2 chairs and are in desperate need of a sofa and more places for people to sit. We found a red set that I LOVE, with an orange and red accent chair. Too stinking cute. We are still thinking about it, but it's a definite need.

Last night Michelle and her family came over to chill. We had a great time. I made Chicken Enchiladas, corn, rice, and beans. Michelle brought Cheesecake squares are dessert. We ate, played Phase 10, Spades, and Taboo. Then the guys went outside to play hide and seek with the kids in the dark while Michelle, Ray, and I played some hand clapping game. We had a blast.

Everyone preparing their plate

Michelle's John playing with Harrison
Desiree' feeding Harrison

Michelle, very excited by her dinner :) LOL!

My younguns, it's so hard to get a great photo of all 3. It's getting a little easier now that H is older, but it's still a challenge.
This is a video Nick took of us girls playing the clapping game. You had to create an ongoing story with everyone by saying a word after the person before you. To fun! I everyone has a great week! I'm off to do laundry and dishes.

H is feeling better. I think it was his teeth. The 2 on the bottom have cut through. The sitter said he didn't eat well today, but I think it was just for her. He ate tons of cereal for me when we got home!

I like my job a lot. It's super fast paced. There is always something to do. The day has went by so fast the last 2 days. I was super tired last night, but I think it was only b/c I was up at 4:30 with H. I'm good tonight :O)

Puke, Pee, and Poop

After nursing H this morning he starts puking. I think he threw up everything I had just nursed him. While he's throwing up on me I call Jason to help. He gets a towel, and starts cleaning up H while I hop in the shower( it was everywhere!). While I'm showering Jason changes Harrison's diaper, and Harrison pees all over him! He hasn't done that since he was a newborn. By this time Harrison is laughing and giggling, nothing makes a baby happier than puking and peeing on your parents right? As I'm getting ready to lay him back down....I sniff...then sniff again...Seriously?? He has just pooped in his diaper that has been on his butt no more than 8 minutes! WTC? He is so happy, I'm thinking I must have just over fed him, b/c he seems to have no ill effects from the puke fest that just took place. Then he starts throwing up again... Not near as much as the first time but enough I have to change his outfit and wipe him down. Not only that, he is warm. Not burning up, but warm. So, let's say it together. CRAP! Why is this happening on my first day of work? Thankfully I have the best husband, who also has sick time :O) So Jason will be staying home with H today. I can't knowingly send him to daycare knowing he has been sick and had a slight fever. He is snoozing in his car seat now, after 20 minutes of happy babble I might add! Since I have been up since 4:30, I have a sneaking suspicion that it is going to be a VERY long day! Happy Monday!!

Saturday 9

The food for thought Friday lady started some Saturday fun :O)

1. If you could have just one more conversation with a person from your past, who would it be?
My Grannie. I lived in Texas when she passed and didn't get to spend much time with her those last few years.

2. Do your friends tend to be male or female?
Female. Married woman shouldn't have close male(non-gay) friends. It leads to trouble.

3. What is in your car’s trunk?
Nothing right now. Jason cleaned it out to go get the mower from Grammie.

4. What was the last CD that you purchased?
Who knows? I think it was a HSM one for Savannah

5. What is your favorite movie and why?
I have several faves. Forest Gump b/c it shows that it is how you look at and react to the world around you that determines your life. The Notebook. It is "our" movie. True Love Prevails. Him reading her that story everyday just to get a few minutes with her...Makes me want to cry just thinking about it.

6. If you could wake up with a new talent tomorrow, what would it be?
To be rich! Is that a talent?

7. What is your favorite day of the week and why?
Sundays, hands down. That is our relaxed, family day. Normally we just chill at home and spend the day together.

8. What are you wearing when you feel you’re at your best?
I feel best when I'm comfy, Jeans and my favorite Derby Panthers sweatshirt.

9. When was the last time you cried?
Thankfully it's been so long I don't remember!

Dinner
What was the first car you drove?
Drove, not owned? I *think* it was a Monte Carlo.

Midnight Snack
What is the strangest/weirdest gift you have ever received?
Jason gave me an electric lady razor on our first C-mas together...

Blog, Bloggy, Blogger

Whew, I think I have a lot to update on, so I hope I remember it all! I got the Office Manager job!! I think... She called on Friday and asked me to come in today to discuss "Hours and Monies" so I'm thinking a job offer will be in there somewhere! Yay Me! I'm a little intimidated to get back into the work force, but I'm hoping it will wear off quickly. I don't even want to think about leaving Harrison all day, I might start hyperventilating.

Jason met with his adviser and enrolled in his classes on Friday. He's pretty stoked. He wanted to take 16 hours, but she talked him into 13..I hope. He's still thinking about adding one more class. He is so anxious that he wants to cram it all in, and I want him to pace himself, and not get burnt out the first semester.

Harrison graduated into a new toy last week! He LOVES his jumper! He just jumps and jumps and goes to town in that thing!! I have such a major blog post to do about him I hope I can remember it all! He is doing something new almost everyday. We started foods this weekend..he LOVED his carrots. I'm glad we waited to spoon feed. He's ready now. There is not much spitting the food out or tounge reflex. He opens his mouth and swallows it down like a good boy. He even says...MMMMmmmmm. He is sitting up by himself and of course rolling like a poly! He is out of 3-6 month clothes and a full fledged 6-9 monther! Craziness!

Yesterday Savannah and I went to Abilene to my sister's baby shower. For those of you that don't know she gave birth to my nephew Codey June 12th 2008 and is due with another boy June 2nd 2009(According to LMP;June 15th, according to Sono). No there is not a typo there! Since she isn't in need of much boy stuff(although I took her tons H has outgrown), it was basically a shower for things that run out. Diaper, wipes, baby wash, lotion, oil, powder...things of that nature. It was a fun day. Then I got home to another big announcement..H is scooting!! He has is knees up under him and pushes himself forward in a beginning crawling motion!! I'm not really ready for that. He's my BABY!!

I guess that's it...if I missed anything I'll update later...or skip it because it's not important!!

Waiting Game

I had the 4th "interview" today.

It was a group meeting with the other office members.

I think it went well.

Now we wait for a job offer...

A job, Lexulous whore, Twilight and a room change...

Let me just start by saying I am EXHAUSTED and if I had 1/2 a brain I'd be trying to nap instead of updating. However I don't deem 30 minutes a "nap worthy" amount of time. So here I am.

Today I had an interview, two actually. On Friday I interviewed for an office manager position for a local real estate office. Today, I interviewed for the same company but with the accountant and later in the day the co-owner. Tomorrow, I go back to have a group session with the 2 buyers agents, and a part-time office aid. Then, they will have a team meeting and discuss me :O) On Friday the owner said, "I have learned to hire slow and fire fast". It's neat that they value team cohesiveness and take every body's opinions into account. It's just so many more people to impress! Either way I should know something by Friday.

Lexulous. Are you tired of hearing me talking about it yet? I am proud to say I have made another junkie..Welcome Staci to Lexulous Anonymous! I will happily admit she beat me in our first game, but I'm whipping her now!! Do you know what this means? I have "converted" 4 people! I play with Amy, Misty, Jason, and sometimes my brother via e-mail, and Staci and my cousin Michelle on Facebook. I love it.

Breaking Dawn. It's the 4th and final book in the Twilight series. It's mere 800ish pages... I am glad I was bullied, I mean talked, into reading these books. I do enjoy them, and I liked the movie too. Although like all book to movie conversions, the book is better. I still am not, nor will I ever be a Jacob fan. I guess I like love to run smooth..and I don't believe in being in love with 2 people at 1 time, so it makes the story convoluted to me. Just my 2 cents everyone else thinks it's an important part of the storyline.

Harrison's Room. Yup, you read right, he has is own room now. For some reason unknown to me J and S ASKED to share a room. So, we moved them into Jonathan's room and put Harrison in Savannah's old room. It is quite barren right now since he doesn't have a whole lot of furniture(since he didn't have a room) but I am SO excited to begin the froggy buying!! Woo-Hoo! I'll take some pics of what he does have and post it on his blog in the next few days. On a side note: CAN YOU BELIEVE MY BABY IS ABOUT TO BE 6 MONTHS OLD?? Craziness.

Busy, Busy, Weekend!!

What a weekend! On Friday Savannah went to see Monsters VS Aliens with Grampy and some of the other kids in the family. She loved it. She thought it was hilarious. While she was at the movies Jason, Jonathan, Harrison and I hung out here at the house. We rented Beverly Hills Chihuahua from Cox On Demand. It was a cute movie. Glad I didn't see it at the theather, but it was a fun way to spend a Friday night.

On Saturday we took the kids to the park for the town Easter egg hunt. It was crazy, and not worth the effort to me, but the kiddos had fun. I wanted to get Harrison's picture taken with the Easter bunny, but Jason left the camera in the car. After that Harrison and I went to Grammie's while Jason took the kiddos to the park to play basketball. It has been unseasonably cold for spring, and Harrison didn't need to be outside. When we got home from Grammie's we had our tax check waiting in the mailbox!! Whoo-hoo! It only took about 4 weeks after they received my injured spouse form to get the check :O) So of course we went shopping!!

We got the kids new clothes and shoes, Jason got new shoes and I got a new outfit. The best thing we got was a grill! Oh how that will make dinner so much easier on me!! It was fun to go shopping and pretty much get whatever we wanted. I got H a froggie outfit and froggie sippy cups for Harrison. I can't wait to put it on him! He's growing so fast! He is almost out of his 3-6 month clothes!!

Jason grilling himself a burger at 11 o'clock at night!
Jonathan with his new skater shoes.
Savannah's "Heidi Hy-tops". At first I didn't want her to get them. They look like something I would have worn when I was her age! However after much thought, I decided if they make her happy, I don't care. They are starting to grow on me, and I have to admit they match most of her clothes!
Harrison's froggie cup!
This morning we went to church for the Easter service. It was wonderful. The kids decided to stay with us during the service instead of going to childrens church. Jonathan was pretty good, but Savannah got antsy about 30 minutes in. Harrison slept through most of it.

This is us at Grammie's before Church this morning!

My boys!
Daddy and the kiddos
Momma and the kiddos!
The Hallock Children
Tonight we had Ham, Garlic Cheese Mashed Potatoes, Green Bean Casserole, and Deviled Eggs for dinner. Yummy! The house is clean, laundry is almost done...ahhhh...this is the life.....

From My Sisters Blog....

What would the child you once were think of the adult you have become?

DEPENDS ON ANGEL THE CHILD AT WHAT STAGE: ANGEL AT 12 WOULD BE DISAPPOINTED. AT THAT TIME I WANTED TO BE AN ATTORNEY, NO KIDS, NO HUSBAND, JUST A FANCY APARTMENT IN A BIG CITY. ANGEL AT 17 WOULD BE HAPPY. THAT WAS WHEN I FIGURED OUT ALL I REALLY WANTED TO BE WAS A WIFE AND MOMMY AND ALL THAT OTHER STUFF WAS OVERRATED!

If you could wake up tomorrow having gained any one ability or quality, what would it be?

I LIKE MISTY'S, SELF DISCIPLINE, I NEED THAT TOO.

After your death, an author will write your biography. What will the title be?

LOVE NEVER FAILS, PEOPLE DO
NOT EASILY BROKEN
TIME HEALS ALL WOUNDS, IF YOU LET IT

How do you picture your funeral? Is it important for you to have people mourn your death?

I DON'T WANT PEOPLE TO MOURN MY DEATH. I WANT PEOPLE TO CELEBRATE MY LIFE!! I WANT A PARTY, WITH LOTS OF ORANGE, I WANT IT TO BE OUTSIDE IN THE SUN, WITH THE BREEZE BLOWING AND MARTINA MCBRIDE'S SONG "BLESSED" PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND.
